This episode of Leading the Pack features Dr. Derek Lopez from the class of 1996. Dr. Lopez was a graduate of East High School and a first-generation student at then, the University of Southern Colorado (now CSU Pueblo). He serves as the Executive Director of HSI Initiatives at CSU Pueblo. He shares his story of growing up in Pueblo and moving to California to pursue his PhD before coming back home and making an impact in his community.
